Aviva Studios: The Accountants

What was the last live performance you saw?

The last live performance we attended was The Accountants at Aviva Studios, Manchester. It was a thought-provoking and creatively staged show that brought together Chinese and Indian cultural narratives in a way that felt both dynamic and resonant. The fusion of these two rich traditions created a unique artistic encounter.

This visit was also our first time at Aviva Studios, and we were thoroughly impressed by the venue. Beyond its striking architecture and state-of-the-art facilities, what stood out most was how inclusive and accessible the space felt. From the welcoming staff to the thoughtfully designed environment, it’s clear that inclusivity is a priority here—something we found both refreshing and inspiring.

We were invited to attend the performance as part of our ongoing collaborative project with Factory International and Creative Manchester. The project explores the local social and economic impacts of the entertainment industry—a topic that events like The Accountants help bring to life in powerful and engaging ways.

It was a great experience overall, blending culture, collaboration, and community in one memorable evening.
